May 25, 2011 Gathering

Brothers of MOI - I am blessed beyond words when I see you guys coming in each Wednesday! When I woke up this morning I had a new song in my heart. As my feet hit the floor the first words out of my mouth were "THE BATTLE IS ON". As I laid my hands on my wife's head to pray over her before leaving the last words from my mouth were I'm going to battle... her words were I'm praying with you.

Thank you Pastor Craig for sharing Habakkuk 3 with us. Habakkuk shows the proper response of man under the sovereign power of God. Interesting note: Benjamin Franklin - who was not a Christian, though he had great respect for the Bible - used Habakkuk 3:17-19 to confound a group of sophisticated, cultured despisers of the Bible. When he was in Paris he heard this group mocking the Bible, and mocking Franklin for his admiration of it. One evening he came among them and said that he had a manuscript containing an ancient poem, that he was quite impressed by the poem and he wanted to read it to them. When he read Habakkuk 3:17-19, his listeners received it with praise and admiration - “What a magnificent poem!” they said, and wanted to know where they could get copies. Franklin told them to just look in Habakkuk chapter 3.

Every week I am blessed beyond words as I watch the Holy Spirit move in our midst. It's an honor and a privilege to lead you guys in worship each week. Truly the battle is on and the victory is ours through Christ Jesus. I pray for each one of you today that God would continue to raise you up as intercessors praying daily for one another and praying for the Santana's (Rich, his wife Deanna, his daughter Marissa and her boyfriend Matt) as they journey through the loss of their loved one.

In His love - Gregg

Hey guys - What an awesome time this morning as we gathered to meet with King Jesus! I stood amazed as I watched the Holy Spirit move amongst us. There is no one like Him. He who searches the depths our hearts and brings His light into the dark areas of our life is so worthy to be praised and honored. It is His desire to see His children set free from the things that hold us captive. Like Titan said "We need to be all in and if we have junk in our lives we need to be set free from it so we can do His bidding or His calling in our lives!" We need each other more than life to stand together locking arms and coming against the principalities that wage war against our very souls and the souls of our loved ones. (Eph 6:12)

Here is a prayer request from a dear brother I met several years ago at Bayside (Granite Bay). We hadn't talked in 6 years and I called him last night and got caught up on our lives. He and his wife Cheryl are now living in Florida and serving in the local church in their area.

Love you guys - Gregg

Please pray:

1) Family transition to Florida with Grandchild and marriage in the near future. Pray for family harmony and understanding
2) Haiti…..Good Shepherd church and for our efforts on their behalf
3) First Congregational church……to continue to build on our year of commitment
4) Personal……that I would allow God to use me however, whenever and wherever he chooses

Thanks
Ross

The prayer Wednesday for me saved me. It resulted in complete peace and confidence for me as I met with my employee. It was not stressful for me at all and I feel that I was able to speak the truth clearly and give clear and simple guidelines. He was not angry or hostile which is what concerned me greatly. We are working out a treatment plan that is a requirement to his reinstatement. He has agreed to that and is still suspended while this gets put in place and I give my final OK. Please continue to pray for this person as he needs God desperately. God is working in my life also and showing me difficult things I need to change and commit fully to Him. Pray for me also. Thanks.

New prayer request. My 2 year old niece, Morgan just had a liver transplant. It has been touch and go for her and her mother and father are stressed to the max. They are mostly unemployed and not getting along on top of everything else. Morgan finally came home from the hospital and all was wonderful until today when things went bad and they had to take her back to Stanford. Needles to say they are feeling desperate and running on fumes. They are both believers but they may are on shaky ground. Bill and Stacey are the parents of Morgan.
